
Diablos Erupt for Huge Comeback Rally in Final At-Bat

LINCOLN -- The El Paso Diablos (23-35) capitalized on four walks to score six runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and complete an improbable 9-8 comeback victory over the Saltdogs (24-36) at Cohen Stadium Saturday night.
Diablos scored their six runs on five hits and four walks against P.J. Zocchi, Conor Spink, and Brandon Cooney, with only one out recorded.
Marcel Prado (2-1) allowed two runs on four hits in the top of the ninth but got the win. Spink (0-1) surrendered two runs on two hits to suffer the loss.
The Saltdogs wasted a 19-hit effort: Stephen Holdren had four hits; Asif Shah and John Alonso each had three-hit nights.
El Paso has scored nine runs in the bottom of the ninth inning over the first two games of the series.
Diablos manager Tim Johnson, and acting manager Carlos Lezcano were both ejected from the ballgame.
The teams are back at it Sunday night at 7:05 p.m. for the rubber match of the three-game set. Radio coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
