Diablos Drop Two Against Amarillo, with Last Game Postponed

In the Diablos third series meeting with the Amarillo Sox, the Diablos lose the first two games to the same score of 14-3, before the last game of their three game series with Amarillo was postponed.

In the first game of the series the Diablos took an early 2-1 lead going into the fifth inning before the Sox took over the game, Amarillo went on to score 11 runs in the fifth and sixth inning to take a commanding 12-2 lead over the Diablos. The Diablos were able to score one more run, before the game came to a conclusion with Amarillo winning 14-3. The one shining light of the game was Omar Luna who carried over his success from the Diablos series with Laredo going one for three with two RBIs.

The second game of the series was carbon copy of the first game, through the first three innings the game was close with the Sox only leading by one run. Then in the next two innings the Sox struck for seven runs to go up by a score of 9-1, second baseman Jose Garcia contributed with two RBIs before the Sox won by a final score of 14-3.

Due to a cancellation of the final game of the series, the game will be postponed till June 24. The Diablos will now start a four game series with the Sioux Falls Canaries on Thursday.
