TRENTON, NJ (March 9, 2008) - Thomas Harrison, the big Trenton Devils enforcer, fought two major brawls with Johnstown opponents, but ended up doing the most damage with the stick. His third goal of the season may spoiled Andrew Penner's bid for his first shutout of the year, but it was not enough to overcome the Devils' deficit, who went on to lose 4-1.

Harrison's sniper shot came with six seconds left in the game. The forward took a feed from Zach Tarkir and fired away, finding the inside of the far post. Tony Zancanaro would also get an assist on the goal.

The Devils would ultimately outshoot the visitors 37-29, but Penner used a combination of quick reflexes and friendly pipes to foil Trenton for all but their last shot. The home team's skaters had two pucks ring off the pipes, and several others stopped by last-minute saves.

Johnstown gained the lead in the second period, when Randy Rowe refused to be stopped by Jason Smith on the blue ice. Rowe continued to punch the puck under the netminder's pads after Smith had fallen on top of it. The Chief's tenacity paid off when the puck trickled free and crossed the goal line 13:57 in.

Alexandre Imbeault and Ryan Garlock would then add power play goals, while Vincent Zaore knocked in a precise one-timer. The Chiefs scored all four goals in the span of five minutes in the second period.

Jason Smith took a hard-luck loss, stopping 25 of 29 shots. Penner improved his record to 5-10-1 with the win.

The Trenton Devils head out to Cincinnati to take on the Cyclones Thursday, March 13 at 7:30pm. Tune into WBCB 1490 or go online to www.trentondevils.com and listen or watch live courtesy of B2 Networks.
