
Devils Salute Armed Forces on April 3

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Albany Devils and their fans will celebrate the Armed Services on Sunday, April 3 during "Military Appreciation Night" at the Times Union Center when the team plays Binghamton at 4 p.m.. The event will honor the men and women who serve in the United States Military past and present. There are several different sponsorship levels for fans and businesses to host soldiers and veterans. Additionally, a special $12 ticket will be available at the TUC box office by showing a military identification.
Confirmed participating military branches include: Air National Guard, National Guard, Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy and 13 Veteran organizations.
South Pearl St., located in the front of the arena, will be shutdown to allow several military vehicles to be on display. Other activities for the evening are an official swearing in, free t-shirts, a chin-up challenge and video tributes.
Additionally, the Devils have partnered with Blue Star Mothers to collect items for "Freedom Boxes for the Troops." Fans are encourage to donate an array of items such as cookies, gum, playing cards, puzzle books, etc. These items will be combined into care packages and shipped abroad to service members.
