, N.H. - The Lowell Devils twice rallied from behind against the Manchester Monarchs to eventually pull out a 4-3 shootout victory on Wednesday night at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Devils goalie Scott Clemmensen made 35 saves through overtime and was 3-of-5 in the shootout, while Patrick Davis scored the clincher for Lowell in the bottom half of the fifth round.

Trailing 2-0 in the second period after two goals by Monarchs' center Dave Meckler, the Devils struck back at 12:30 to get on the board. Ryan Murphy found a loose puck in the near circle of Manchester zone and quickly fired it through the five-hole of Jonathan Bernier for his second goal of the year.

Only fifty-seven seconds later, Lowell went on the power play and tied the score when Michael Swift cut out from behind the goal line and ripped a shot into the top of net. Chad Wiseman and Davis gathered the assists on Swift's first professional goal.

Manchester would retake its lead just over five minutes into the final frame. Crashing the net after Vladimir Dravecky's shot was Jon Rheault to deposit rebound and make the score 3-2.

Another player notching his first pro goal helped the Devils knot the score once again at 8:41 of the third. This time it was Brad Snetsinger taking a perfect centering pass from Tyler Eckford and batting it the puck past Bernier.

The Monarchs jumped out to a 1-0 lead at 4:39 of the first period thanks to the broken stick of Devils defenseman Matt Spiller. With the passing lane unimpeded, Manchester's Trevor Lewis fed Meckler in the slot for a sweeping one-timer that went inside the far post. Meckler later put the Monarchs up by 2-0 with a shorthanded goal 5:37 into the middle frame.

Lowell was 1-for-3 on the man-advantage and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
