Des Moines Barkaneers Return

Des Moines Buccaneers News Release
URBANDALE, Iowa - For the second straight year, and for one night only, the?USHL's?Des?Moines?Buccaneers will become the?Des?Moines?Barkaneers.
Saturday, Feb. 10, the?Des?Moines?Barkaneers?will host the Lincoln Stars on the night of the team's annual?Doxie?Dash, sponsored by?Raising Cane's. The wiener dog races will highlight a night that features?Barkaneers?merchandise, official game pucks, specialty jerseys and a?postgame?auction, with proceeds from the auction benefiting?Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
Complete with name and logo changes, the?Barkaneers?will take to the ice at "Barkaneer?Arena,?The Doghouse on Hickman."
"We are extremely excited that the Des Moines Barkaneers are returning to the ice in 2024! The inaugural Barkaneers' game in 2023 was a great success, and we look forward to an even bigger night this Saturday. We couldn't make the night a success without the support of our great partners in Raising Canes and the Animal Rescue League. It's a fun filled night, and we invite everyone to come out to the Doghouse on Hickman this Saturday night," said team President Nate Teut.
The puck drops at 6:00 p.m. with tickets available at?tickets.bucshockey.com?or by calling the Ticket Office at 515-278-2827. The?Doxie?Dash will take place at the first intermission.?
