Lancers Acquire Draft Picks for Justin Stupka

OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) have announced the acquisition of a 2024 3rd round, phase I pick and a 2024 5th round, phase II pick in exchange for Forward, Justin Stupka.
Stupka, 18, of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania is currently in his second full-time season in the USHL. Playing in a total of 96 games thus far, Stupka had played 93 of them in a Lancers' uniform.
Within the 2022-23 season, the Forward gathered 13 total points (4G-9A-13P) in 55 games played. With his first goal in Omaha coming on December 22nd, 2022 against the Sioux City Musketeers. A game that the Lancers would go onto win by a score of 4-2 on home ice.
On the current, 2023-24 season, the 6-foot-2, 208 pound centerman has already topped last season's point total through 38 games. Tallying 15 points (7G-8A-15P). Most recently scoring in a 5-2 loss in Sioux City on February 2nd, 2024.
Prior to his time in Omaha, Stupka played just three games as an affiliate for the Youngstown Phantoms during the 2021-22 season while playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 16U AAA team. Tacking on his first USHL goal, assist and multi-point night on April 23rd, 2022 in a 7-3 victory over the USNTDP at the Covelli Center.
He will be added to a Musketeers roster that currently sits in second place in the western conference standings at 23-12-6-0. Only trailing the Fargo Force.
Stupka is set to attend the University of Miami to join their division one hockey program in the fall of 2024.
