Delmarva Drives Past Greenville 10-3

Greenville, SC- Delmarva won its fourth straight game over southern division opponents pounding the Drive 10-3 Wednesday night at West End Field.

Starter Pedro Beato allowed only two runs on six hits over seven innings en route to his sixth victory of the season. Beato walked two and struck out four.

Brandon Tripp and Billy Rowell had three hit nights apiece for the ‘Birds and combined to score four of Delmarva's 10 runs. Tripp was three for four with a pair of triples, a double and drove in three runs. Rowell scored twice and had a double and two singles. Chris Vinyard had a pair of doubles, scored two runs and drove in two. Pedro Florimon had a two hit night including his fourth homerun of the season, a solo shot in the eighth inning. Brandon Snyder, Miguel Abreu and Victor Castillo also had a hit and an RBI apiece.

Josh Reddick and Manny Arambarris had two hits each for Greenville and both drove in a pair of runs. Reddick hit his 15 homerun of the season with two outs in the first inning.

Delmarva sends Zach Clark (2-1, 1.50) to the hill for game two and Greenville will counter with lefty Ryan Phillips(3-2, 2.50 ERA), first pitch is set for 7pm.
