Defenseman Andrew Martens Loaned to Manitoba Moose

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings and the AHL Manchester Monarchs announced today that they have loaned defenseman Andrew Martens to the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Martens, 27, appeared in 23 games with the Reign before heading to the Moose in his first career AHL call-up. He is the current leader amongst Reign defensemen in scoring, tallying 2 goals and 11 assists (13 points) and is ranked tenth in defensemen scoring in the ECHL. During the season, Martens accumulated a +4 rating, scored the game-winner in a 3-2 overtime victory against the Phoenix Roadrunners on October 31 and recorded a three-game assist streak (3a) from December 3-6.

Martens meets up with the Moose as they prepare for a weekend home stand on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13 as they take on the Grand Rapids Griffins.
