KODAK, Tenn. - The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (6-10) defeated the Tennessee Smokies (8-8) by an 11-5 score in the second game of the five-game series at Smokies Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Jacksonville right-handed starting pitcher Cody Poteet (1-2) earned his first Double-A victory, working six innings where allowed three runs on six hits with a walk and four strikeouts. The Jumbo Shrimp offense got off to a quick start with a five-run top of the first inning. After Monte Harrison led off the top of the second with a double, Austin Dean promptly brought him home with a two-run home run to left field, his first homer of the year, to put the lead at 7-0. The Smokies responded with a two-out two-RBI double by Jeffery Baez in the bottom of the second to cut Jacksonville's lead to 7-2.
