The Gems travel to the brand new Ford Center in downtown Evansville, Indiana for just the second time this season to battle the first place IceMen. Tied with Missouri for third in the Tuner Conference standings, the Gems sit just three points behind the IceMen, and carry their 5-3-2 road record into just the forth meeting this season with Evansville. Dayton remains winless against the IceMen this season, after being swept in three games back in November.
Saturday, December 10 - Dayton Gems vs Quad City Mallards, 7:00pm EST (Hara Arena)

The Gems return home to Cassano's Italian Ice at Hara Arena to host the Quad City Mallards for the second time this season. The Gems are 1-0-1 at home with Quad City, most recently falling to the "Flock" in a shootout back on November 23.
Sunday, December 11 - Dayton Gems @ Fort Wayne Komets, 5:00pm EST (Memorial Coliseum)

The Gems make the trek north to Fort Wayne to battle the Komets after most recently picking up their first win (4-2) against their closest geographical rival inside the War Memorial Coliseum back on November 18. Fort Wayne has been dueling with Evansville for top spot in the conference, with the Komets sitting just two points ahead of Dayton for second place.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
WPAFB Night - This Saturday, December 10 is the second annual Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Night with the Gems inside the historic Hara Arena. The first 500 fans through the gates beginning at 6pm will receive American flags, while the Gems salute the men and women of the US Air Force and WPAFB.
WEEKLY NOTES
Brick In The Wall - Gems netminder Larry Sterling set a season high record of making a whopping 48 saves in the Gems winning effort against the Mavericks last Friday. Missouri sent a team high 51 shots towards Sterling, but the Gems battled for a 6-3 win.
Amazing Race - The Gems sit just three points outside of first place in the Turner Conference, and are tied with Missouri for third with 20 points each. Fort Wayne briefly claimed top spot over the weekend, but was quickly supplanted by the IceMen, who hold onto first with 23 points. Just seven points separate the top six teams in the conference.
Power Forwards - Dayton's offensively powerful line of Damian Surma, Brett Lutes and Matt Larke combined for an impressive eleven points in the Gems 6-3 win against Missouri on Friday night.
