
Dayton Gems Fall To Quad City Mallards 6-3

The Gems made the trek to the i wireless center to take on the Quad City Mallards. Just 19 seconds into the 1st period Gem John Snowden scored his 17th goal of the season with an assist by A. J. MacLean. Less than 5 minutes later Dayton added another point to their tally when Justin McCutcheon took it into the net with the aid of MacLean and Cody Hamilton. The Mallards, Levesque would get on them on the board 13:46 into the period.
In the second the Mallards took control of the game. Levesque would score twice to get the hat trick. The first 5 minutes of the 3rd Quad City would add 2 more. Just after the halfway mark of the final period Dayton's McCutcheon would add 1 to the Gems score aided by Snowden and MacLean. With 7 seconds left the Mallards would find the empty net to finish the evening. Final score: Quad City 6 - Dayton Gems 3. The Gems standings are now 19 - 24 - 3 - 1.
On Friday, February 12th start your engines its Auto Racing night when the Gems meet the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 730pm. Chat with representatives from Shady Bowl, Eldora and Mid Ohio Raceways. All race fans are welcome. It's also Frothy Friday with $2 Drafts.
The Gems follow the lumberjacks back to Muskegon for a back to back battle. Fans can head to the Gems website: www.daytongems.net and join Tom Michaels for the play by play on the B2 network.
Valentines Day will be the day to bring your sweetheart to Hara for the game against Quad City at 5pm. The first 1st 700 ladies will receive carnations courtesy of Furst Florist. After the game join the Gems on the ice for a chance to Skate with the Team.
That evening is also the Gems 1st "City vs City Night". The Gems welcome friends, families, businesses and local groups from Vandalia and Englewood to support their communities. Group seating is available and Northmont and Vandalia Butler schools are encouraged to participate.
Saturday, February 20th at Hara Arena as the Gems take on the Fort Wayne Komets at 730pm Dayton Spiritual Television will be hosting the evening sponsored by DATV (Time Warner Local Cable Access Station). Faith groups are encouraged to attend and group seating is available. Dayton Spiritual TV will be in the lobby handing out information and signing people up for prize drawings.
That evening is also the Gems "City vs City Night". The Gems welcome friends, families, businesses and local groups from Kettering to support their communities. Group seating is available. Fairmont and Alter schools are encouraged to participate.
Tell all your friends WONE 980's Mark Schlemmer will be broadcasting before the game on Friday, February 26th. Fans of Mark's can head to the Hara pub at 3pm and stay for the 7:30pm game when the Gems take on their old rivals the Fort Wayne Komets. Be sure to purchase seating in the WONE Schlemmer section (Section 11 - 12). It's Frothy Friday so it's a night with bargain $2 drafts.
That evening is also trading card night. The 1st 1000 fans will receive the 2nd of 4 sets of official Gems Trading Cards sponsored by Color Q of Miamisburg. Join the Gems for an evening no one will want to miss.

All adult tickets only $10. Student and Childrens tickets $7. Groups are welcome and parking is free.
Each Monday evening join the Gems at Fox and Hound in Beavercreek at 9pm as they become Miami Valley Idol judges .
