Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Fort Wayne TinCaps (affiliate of the San Diego Padres) in the fourth game of a six-game series. The Dragons are 7-2 on the current 12-game homestand. They have won the first three games of the series with Fort Wayne.
Last Game: Thursday: Dayton 2, Fort Wayne 0. Graham Ashcraft (5 ip), Spencer Stockton (3 ip), and Pedro Garcia (1 ip) combined on a three-hit shutout. Jose Tello hit a first inning home run and Victor Ruiz had an RBI triple in the second on a line drive that was lost in the sun by the right fielder. Jacob Hurtubise had two hits among the five for the Dragons. The game was played in two hours, 20 minutes, 23 minutes shorter than the shortest game of the season before last night.
Comeback Kids: June 8 and 9, the Dragons won two games in two nights despite trailing by five or more runs in each game. Miguel Hernandez had a 10-game hitting streak snapped last night. He is batting .395 over his last 11 games, raising his average from .232 to .276. Over his last six games, Hernandez is 10 for 20 (.500).
