Brandon, MB. - The second and final day of Brandon Wheat Kings' Rookie Camp is underway at Westman Communications Group Place.

In the first of two scrimmage games of the day, Team Gold made it two for two against Team White by scoring an 8-2 win.

15-year old Oak Bluff native Marcus Sekundiak scored three times to pace the winners while local product Ty Lewis added a pair.

A seventh round bantam draft choice of the Wheat Kings in May, Sekundiak scored 30 goals and 53 points for the Central Plains AAA Bantam Capitals during the 2014-15 season.

Lewis, who was chosen in round three (47th overall) in 2013, spent most of last season with the AAA Midget Wheat Kings but also managed to dress for five games with the WHL club.

Bradley Castellano, Tate Popple and Rylan Bettens, who scored twice in Wednesday's rookie scrimmage, rounded out the scoring for Team Gold while John Patmore and Caiden Daley scored in a losing cause for Team White.

Daley was the Wheat Kings first draft pick in this year's WHL bantam draft.

Rookie camp will conclude tonight with a 6pm Scrimmage.

Following Thursday's game, a number of rookie prospects will be invited to stay on and participate in the WHL club's annual Main Camp, scheduled to get underway first thing Friday morning.

The Wheat Kings, who captured the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy as the WHL's Regular Season Champions in 2014-15, will close out camp on Sunday afternoon with the Canad Inns Intrasquad Game.

All scrimmage games are open to the public.
