Everett Silvertips News Release

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) announced today that veteran forward Dawson Leedahl (LEE-dawl) has been named the 12th captain in Silvertips history. Overage forwards Carson Stadnyk (STAD-nik), Remi Laurencelle (Lorr-en-CELL, REM-ee), and defenseman Cole MacDonald will serve as alternate captains for the 2015-16 WHL season.

"It's pretty special to receive a role like this, with a great organization like the Everett Silvertips," said Leedahl. "In recognition of guys like Ryan Murray, Kohl Bauml and Matt Pufahl, it's important to recognize the responsibility of making sure everyone is pulling in the same direction. I'm ready and excited to take on the challenge."

Leedahl, 19, enters his fourth season as a Silvertips forward with 178 career games, 74 points and 168 penalty minutes. He has suited up in 15 career postseason games, earning seven points (2g-5a).
