
Dave Sarachan's Team Faces Memphis 901 FC on Sunday

Cary, NC - The North Carolina Football Club will play Memphis 901 FC on Sunday, September 13 at 6 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park. The match is the second time the two teams meet this weekend. Dave Sarachan's team will look to earn three points and improve their standing in Group G.
Three goals were scored in the final minutes of Thursday night's match between the competitors. Down 2-0, NCFC's Robert Kristo brought life to the team with a goal in the 86th minute off of a Ben Speas corner kick. As stoppage time approached, NCFC kept pressure on Memphis, swinging in several dangerous crosses. DJ Taylor connected with the ball in the box in the first minute of stoppage time for the equalizer goal.
As the match continued, Memphis was able to swing the momentum in the eighth minute of stoppage time when Matt Hundley scored his second goal of the night. The final whistle blew shortly after the goal.
Sunday's match is the third match between the teams this season. They will face off again on Wednesday, September 23 in Memphis.

North Carolina FC- #27 DJ Taylor
Taylor scored his first USL goal in NCFC's match on Thursday and has two assists on the season. He has proven to be an offensive threat from his defensive position and will continue to evolve his role in each match.
Memphis 901 FC- #29 Matt Hundley
The former UCLA Bruin and Colorado Rapids loanee scored two of Memphis 901's goals on Thursday night, including the game-winner. NCFC will keep a mark on Hundley to ensure he does not find the back of the net again.
