DaSilva Recalled To AHL Worcester

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, announced today that forward Dan DaSilva has been recalled to Worcester of the American Hockey League.

DaSilva, 23, has six goals and 15 points in 31 games with the RoadRunners after being loaned from Worcester on Nov. 19. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native and fourth-year professional appeared in three games with the Sharks earlier this season and collected one assist and 19 penalty minutes.

DaSilva has amassed 23 goals, 25 assists, 48 points and 129 penalty minutes in 125 career AHL games with Worcester, Lake Erie, Albany, and Lowell since turning pro in 2005. Prior to then he registered 30 goals or more in consecutive seasons with the Portland Winter Hawks of the Western Hockey League. He has posted 43 goals, 50 assists, and 93 points in 174 career games.

In a separate transaction, rookie center Merit Waldrop has been activated off the three-day injured reserve and will be in the RoadRunners' line-up tonight against Idaho.

The RoadRunners continue a season-long eight-game road trip at 7:10 p.m. Friday when they open a two-game series at Qwest Arena in Boise against the Idaho Steelheads. Catch all the action live on Independent 1310 KXAM beginning with "RoadRunners Countdown" at 7:00 p.m.

Phoenix returns to US Airways Center at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 when they welcome the Alaska Aces.
