
Dashers Extend Winning Streak to 4 Games, 7-2 over Ice Breakers

Danville, IL - The Dashers open the season 4-0 with a 7-2 victory over the Mentor Ice Breakers and go perfect on their opening home stand.
The first period saw a stale mate between both squads Danville went 0 for 1 on the power play while Mentor was 0 for 3. Starting goalie for Danville Aaron Taylor was 14 for 14 while Matt Camalleri matched him in the net going a perfect 11 for 11.
The second period began with Justin Brausen netting his first goal of the night at the 7:45 mark with Marker and Martin getting the helpers. Mentor would come right back 21 second later on Paul Lamoureax's first goal of the season assisted by Alexander Morrow. Danville would come back a minute later scoring two goals in nine second with Marker and Pommerville netting the goals. Marting and Little would add two more powerplay goals at 13:25 and 15:17 of the frame.
Period 3 saw the Dashers extend the lead to 7-2 which included a fight between goaltenders Aaron Taylor and Matthew Camilleri, forcing Matt Kaludis and Joel Eisenhower to finish off the last 2:30 of the game.
Danville is back in action next week in Carolina to take on the Thunderbirds. Game time is 6:35 c.t.
