WILMINGTON, DE (JUNE 17, 2012) - The Dash wrapped up the first half of the 2012 season with a 6-5, 10-inning victory over the Wilmington Blue Rocks Sunday afternoon at Frawley Stadium.

The Dash finish the first half at 44-25-1, and they are on pace for the second-highest win total during Winston-Salem's time in the Carolina League. Winston won 20 games on the road in the first half, and the Dash posted a league-best 30-11 mark against the Northern Division.

Winston-Salem loaded the bases in the top of the 10th, and Juan Silverio flew out to shallow right. Roman Hernandez's throw was in time but wide, allowing Cyle Hankerd to avoid the tag and score the game-winning run.

Ryan Buch (4-5) retired the bottom third of the Wilmington (29-41) lineup in the home half of the 10th to pick up his first win out of the bullpen this season. Buch whiffed six in three innings of work.

Both teams traded runs in the eighth inning. Jake Oester blooped a two-out RBI single to left in the top of the eighth, but Angel Franco did the same in the bottom half of the frame to make it 5-5.

After Carlos Sanchez scored the Dash's first run in the top of the first, the Blue Rocks jumped out in front thanks to a trio of first-inning tallies. Brett Eibner brought home the first two on a double to right-center. He later scored on a wild pitch to cap off the scoring.

Wilmington pushed its advantage to 4-1 thanks to a Jose Bonilla RBI single in the third inning, but Winston-Salem responded with a three-run fourth. Trayce Thompson lined a two-run home run, his 11th blast of the season, down the left-field line. Later in the inning, Miguel Gonzalez knotted the score with a two-out RBI single.

Dash starter Jake Petricka battled back from a rough first inning to work through the fifth. The right-hander allowed four runs on eight hits in a no decision. Behind Petricka, J.R. Ballinger recorded two hitless innings.

The Dash do not play again until Thursday night due to the All-Star Break. The first half Southern Division champions head to Potomac for a three-game set against the Nationals to kick off the season's second half. Game one of the series kicks off at 7:05, and pre-game coverage on wsdash.com begins at 6:50.

BB&T Ballpark will host the California-Carolina League All-Star Game, presented by BB&T, this Tuesday night at 7:15. A limited number of tickets are still available, and fans can log on to wsdash.com or call the Dash at (336) 714-2287 to secure their seats.
