WINSTON-SALEM, NC (APRIL 13, 2011) - The Winston-Salem Dash opens the 2011 home schedule Friday against Kinston at 7 p.m. Friday marks the start of the second season of baseball at BB&T Ballpark, and fans will be treated to a spectacular opening weekend.

The three-game homestand against Kinston will give fans a taste of what's to come all season long at the ballpark. Friday night after the game, WilcoHess presents the first fireworks show of the regular season which is sure to dazzle every fan in attendance for the home opener.

The Dash is offering fans a special deal for Saturday's game. "The Dash Deal" includes four of the best available seats that night and four official Dash T-Shirts for only $24.95. That's a value of over $125 and is a great way to add that new piece of team gear for the new season. This offer isn't available on game day, though, and must be reserved in advance by calling (336) 714-2287. First pitch for Saturday's game is set for 7 p.m.

During Sunday's series finale, all kids 12 and under have the opportunity to enjoy the Childress Institute Kids Zone free of charge that afternoon. The game starts at 2 p.m., and as always, kids can run the bases like the pros after the game as well.
