Dash Announce Television Package with WXII

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (MAY 19, 2011) - The Winston-Salem Dash have partnered with WXII-TV to broadcast six Carolina League games on television this season. The games will be broadcast on WXII ¬â¢s THIS Carolina channel beginning with this Friday ¬â¢s home contest against the Salem Red Sox.
THIS Carolina also broadcast the Dash ¬â¢s exhibition game on March 30 against the Chicago White Sox, the team ¬â¢s first-ever telecast at BB&T Ballpark.
¬ÅThe White Sox game was a resounding success for both the Dash and WXII, ¬Â said Dash team president Geoff Lassiter. ¬ÅWe are excited to expand this relationship and allow our fans to experience Dash baseball and BB&T Ballpark in a new and unique way. These types of television packages are rare across Minor League Baseball, especially for a Single-A organization, so we are looking forward to treating our fans to these games. ¬Â
The complete television schedule for Dash games this season is as follows:
- Friday, May 20 vs. Salem Red Sox (7 PM)
- Friday, June 10 vs. Wilmington Blue Rocks (7 PM)
- Monday, July 4 vs. Salem Red Sox (7 PM)
- Friday, July 22 vs. Potomac Nationals (7 PM)
- Friday, August 26 vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans (7 PM)
- Friday, September 2 vs. Salem Red Sox (7 PM)
THIS Carolina is available over-the-air on digital channel 12-2 and on Time Warner Cable channel 121 in the Piedmont Triad. Viewers with questions about how to access THIS Carolina should go to www.wxii12.com or call their local cable provider. Alex Vispoli, ¬ÅThe Voice of the Dash, ¬Â will call the action during each game. Color commentators for the broadcasts will be announced at a future time.
