Danville Dashers News Release
Danville, IL - November 14, 2011 Today at the David S. Palmer Arena, Dashers owner Barry Soskin announced that Head Coach and GM Scott Beneke has been relieved of his duties and will no longer be part of the organization. Mr. Soskin also announced that Mr. Joe Pace Sr. has signed on for the remainder of the season assuming the roles of Head Coach and General Manager. Mr. Soskin thanked Mr. Beneke for all his hard work getting the team off and running in their inaugural season. However after a dismal start, Mr. Soskin decided the team needed a change at the helm and Mr. Pace will be filling those shoes immediately. Mr. Pace will meet the team Tuesday in Danville for a quick skate around before climbing on the bus for a 6 day road trip to play 4 games in 4 days starting in Cape Cod on Wednesday November 16th.
