Philadelphia Union News Release
CHESTER, Pa. - The Union took on Nashville SC on the road, Saturday night, falling 1-0. With the loss, the Union remain in third place in the Eastern Conference with 19 points. In the first half, former Union striker C.J. Sapong opened the scoring in the second minute to give Nashville the lead. The Union created many chances but couldn't find the back of the net against a very disciplined Nashville defense. The lone goal was enough to get a shutout win against the Union, ending their eight-game unbeaten streak. Midfielder Daniel Gazdag earned his first start for the Union after making a pair of appearances since his arrival in May.
The Union are on the road at Red Bull Arena on Thursday where they will play the New York Red Bulls (8:00 p.m. ET / PHL17).
