ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City SC has loaned forward Matheus Aiás to Spanish side Real Oviedo for the 2021/22 LaLiga SmartBank season. Real Oviedo, based in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain, begin their 2021/22 campaign in Spain's second division on Aug. 15.
Aiás has made six appearances since joining the Club last year from Watford FC, scoring one goal in his home debut against Atlanta United on Oct. 28, a 4-1 win for the Lions. The Palmares Paulista, Brazil native joined Orlando in 2020 following two seasons with Mirandés of Spain's Segunda División.
