RICHMOND, VA - Three point nights from former RiverDogs player David Hymovitz, Jeff Daw and Jean-Michel Daoust plus solid goaltending from Sylvain Daigle gave the Danbury Trashers a 6-2 victory over the Richmond RiverDogs in front of 4,391, the third largest crowd of the season. The Trashers came out of the gates early at 0:29 on Daoust's first goal of the night and by the midway point of the first period, Danbury was up 4-0 and forced starter Doug Groenestege to the bench in favor of Mike D'Alessandro. The RiverDogs got goals from Mike Oliveira (16) and Joey Bastien (6) and closed the gap at 5-3 before Brad Wingfield iced the game at 17:25 of the 3rd period.
