FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed forward Matthew Seminoff to a three-year entry-level contract. The contract will begin in the 2023-24 season.

Seminoff ranks third on Kamloops in assists (51) and points (31-51--82) and shares third in goals (31) in 62 games this season, setting career highs in each offensive category. The 19-year-old forward has also tied his career highs in power-play goals (6) and game winners (6) in 2022-23 while establishing a personal best in shots on goal (255).

He was named the Canadian Hockey League's (CHL) First Star for March 15 after recording eight points (4-4--8) in Kamloops' 11-1 victory over Victoria. Seminoff's eight points doubled his previous career best while it marked his first four-goal game and second WHL hat trick. His eight-point performance was part of a seven-game point streak that saw him register 16 points (6-10--16) from March 7-18.

Born in Leesburg, Virginia and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Seminoff has amassed 170 points (73-97--170) and a +51 rating in 196 career WHL games with Kamloops. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound forward also recorded nine points (6-3--9) in 17 postseason games with the Blazers in 2022.
