Dallas Sidekicks Announce 2014-15 Regular Season Schedule

ALLEN, Texas (Sept 9, 2014) - The Dallas Sidekicks announced their regular season schedule on Tuesday for the 2014-15 campaign as the team looks for a fifth franchise championship. The Sidekicks will open their season at home on Saturday, October 25 at the Allen Event Center in the inaugural match of the Major Arena Soccer League. Dallas will face the 2013 MISL champion Missouri Comets at 7:00 p.m.
Last season the Sidekicks competed in the PASL and finished with a record of 14-2, making the playoffs for the second year in a row.
Earlier this summer, a total of 23 teams from the PASL and MISL joined forces to become the MASL, a united super league spanning across the United States and Mexico. This move ups the quality of competition and spreads the league from coast to coast. The Sidekicks were placed in the Southern Division along with the Monterrey Flash, Hidalgo La Fiera, Brownsville Barracudas, Saltillo Rancho Seco and Oxford City of Texas (formerly Texas Strikers).
The 20-game season is an even split between home games and games on the road. Dallas, Monterrey and Hidalgo battled all of last season for the top spot in their division, creating fierce rivalries that fans will be able to experience firsthand at the Allen Event Center.
" We know this year is going to be tough, but we're excited to get started," head coach Tatu said. "We are ready to select the best team possible and get to work. It's an exciting schedule and I think the fans are going to be happy - there's going to be a lot of great soccer this season."
The Sidekicks will open their training camp later this month. The 2014-15 season roster will be announced in October.
