Dallas Recalls Wathier, Assigns Lindgren Back To Texas

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced Tuesday that left wing Francis Wathier has been recalled from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Dallas also assigned center Perttu Lindgren to Texas.

Wathier, 24, has appeared in six games for Texas this season, notching two assists, a plus 2 rating and two penalty minutes. The St. Isidore, ON native played for the Iowa Chops of the AHL last season. In 77 games with Iowa, Wathier scored six goals and added ten assists for 16 points. Wathier was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the sixth round (#185 overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Lindgren made his NHL debut Monday night, a 4-1 Dallas loss to Los Angeles at American Airlines Center. The 22-year old has appeared in six games for Texas this season, scoring two goals and one assist for three points with a +2 rating and two penalty minutes. Lindgren spent last season with Lukko Rauma in Finland, with five goals and 19 assists for 24 points in 49 contests. Lindgren was Dallas' third round selection (75th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Texas will begin a three-game home stand on Tuesday, October 20th at 7:30 pm against Lake Erie. The Stars host the Monsters again on Friday, October 23rd at 7:30 pm. Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is the presenting sponsor of the game and will provide "Thundersticks" to the first 2,000 fans. On Saturday, October 24th, Texas will host the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00 pm. State Farm presents the Family Four Pack on the 24th of October, which includes four hockey tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs for $44.00. The first 2,000 fans to the game on Saturday receive a Texas Stars Sports bottle.

Tickets for any of the Stars 40 regular season home games at Cedar Park Center are on sale, starting as low as $9.00 a seat. Individual game tickets may be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, by going online at www.ticketmaster.com or by visiting any local Ticketmaster outlet.
