TOP TWO SCORERS IN LEAGUE HISTORY GO HEAD TO HEAD WEDNESDAY

Wednesday's game vs. Kansas City will pit the all-time leading scorers in MLS history against one another. Both Jason Kreis and Preki are currently tied for the all-time league lead in points with 215. For his career, Kreis has 78 goals and 59 assists while Preki has 62 goals and 91 assists. Preki is also the only member of MLS to amass 60 goals and 60 assists, a feat Kreis is just one assist shy of accomplishing.

KREIS IN FIRST SLUMP OF 2002 SEASON

Forward Jason Kreis is currently in the midst of his first slump of the 2002 season as he has failed to score in four consecutive matches. Prior to this slump, he had not gone two consecutive games this season without finding the back of the net. The team's success this year has relied heavily on Kreis' scoring as they are 7-0-4 in games in which he has tallied a goal. Conversely, they are just 1-3-4 in games in which he's been held scoreless and have registered only six goals in those eight matches.

BURN LOOKING TO EXTEND RECORD HOME WINNING STREAK

With their 2-1 victory over San Jose on June 13, the Burn tied a team record by registering their fifth consecutive home victory, a feat also accomplished in 1999. Additionally, they are currently riding a team record eight-game home unbeaten streak, going 6-0-2 over that span while outscoring the opposition 16-6. The previous home unbeaten streak record of seven was set in 2000.
