Kelowna Rockets News Release

The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that they have re-assigned forward Colton Dach to the Kelowna Rockets.

Dach, 18, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Blackhawks last week. He appeared in two pre-season games with Chicago, netting a goal and three shots on net.

The Rockets acquired the 6'4, 205-pound forward from the Saskatoon Blades last week.

Dach appeared in 20 games for Blades during the 2020-21 season, posting 20 points (11G, 9A), 16 penalty minutes. He led all Saskatoon skaters in goals (11) and power-play goals (5) scored last season.

He was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He is the younger brother of Kirby Dach, who was taken by Chicago third overall in the 2019 NHL draft.

Dach and the Rockets are set to open the home portion of their regular-season schedule on October 15, 2021, against the Kamloops Blazers. Season tickets are now available to the general public for the upcoming 2021-22 Rockets season. Click here for details and pricing.
