
D-Fenders fall in last game of season

Los Angeles D-Fenders News Release
Boise, ID- In the last game of the season for both Idaho and Los Angeles, the Stampede defeated the D-Fenders (16-34) 114-101, Saturday night at the Qwest Arena.
Joe Dabbert lit up the scoreboard for Idaho in the first half of the game securing a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds before heading into halftime. Coby Karl and Andre Barrett contributed to the Idaho charge with 12 points apiece and Donell Taylor contributed 10 points at the close of the half. Idaho headed into to the locker-room outscoring the D-Fenders 70-45.
Los Angeles made a charge in the third quarter outscoring Idaho 29-23. Ryan Forehan-Kelly grabbed 11 points in the quarter for the D-Defenders. L.A. continued the push outscoring Idaho 27-21 in the fourth quarter but they were never able to take the lead, as the Stampede pulled out the win, 114-101.
"Our team fought hard all year and I am proud of them and hopeful for next year," said D-Fenders Head Coach Chucky Brown.
The D-Fenders ended with four players scoring in double-figures including James Peters (20), Frank Robinson (16), Forehan-Kelly (15), and James Wright (10). The Stampede had three double-doubles in the night including.
"I'm proud of how hard our team played through all the changes we had," said Idaho Stampede Head Coach Bob MacKinnnon. "I'm proud of the opportunity we created for all of our players and I look forward to next season."
