D.C. United News Release
Washington, D.C. (April 12, 2011) - D.C. United announced today that its MLS Reserve League match with the New York Red Bulls has been moved to September 13 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The original contest was slated for April 22, but with United advancing to the next round of Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup qualifying, the two sides have agreed to move the contest to later in the season.
United defeated Philadelphia Union on penalty kicks in the first round of Open Cup qualifying, affording the Black-and-Red the right to host New England in a second play-in game on April 26 at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md. As a result, United's Reserves will play New York on the RFK Training Field on September 13.
