
D.C. United Hires New Director of Marketing

Washington, D.C. (November 12, 2013) - D.C. United today announced that Jamie Gustafson has been named Director of Marketing, effective Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.
"We are excited to have Jamie on staff to lead our marketing efforts," said D.C. United Chief Operating Officer Michael Williamson. "Her experience and creativity is extremely valuable as we look to implement new initiatives to grow our brand and further engage our fan base."
Gustafson, who received her undergraduate degree at the George Washington University, earned her Master's of Arts in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. A current D.C. resident, Gustafson has expansive sports marketing and branding experience ranging from Haymaker (formerly Richards Sports + Entertainment), Southwest Airlines, Sweet Leaf Tea and CRAFT Media/Digital.
"I am thrilled to join such a legendary organization and cornerstone team in this city," said Gustafson. "There are several exciting things in store, and I look forward to growing the affinity and community around the D.C. United brand."
