
Chicago Fire Midfielders Arevalo Rios and Joel Lindpere Called Up

CHICAGO, Ill. (November 12, 2013) - The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Tuesday that midfielders Joel Lindpere (Estonia) and Arevalo Rios (Uruguay) have been called up to represent their respective national teams.
Head coach Oscar TabÃÆÃ¡rez has called in Rios to represent Uruguay against Jordan on Nov. 13 at Amman Stadium in Amman, Jordan and on Nov. 20 at Centenario Stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay. The two sides are facing off in a two-match playoff for a berth in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. A veteran international who has earned 50 caps for his country, Rios made seven appearances in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, helping Uruguay to a fourth place finish.
Lindpere has been selected by Estonian Men's National Team manager Tarmo R--tli for Estonia's international friendlies against Azerbaijan on Nov. 15 at A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn, Estonia, and against Liechtenstein at Rheinpark Stadion on Nov. 19 in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. A product of Tallinn, Estonia, Lindpere made his international debut on Nov. 1, 1999 in a friendly against the United Arab Emirates. He scored his first international goal on Feb. 18, 2004 in a 1-0 win over Moldova, and has since scored six goals in 92 total appearances for his country.
