Washington, D.C. (May 17, 2015) - D.C. United's (6-2-3, 21 points) eight game unbeaten streak was snapped Sunday night with a 1-0 defeat against the Philadelphia Union. Despite the loss, the Black-and-Red remains in first place in the Eastern Conference. The Union's Zach Pfeffer scored the games only goal in the 93rd minute on a Fabinho assist. United returns to action on the road on Saturday, May 23, at the New England Revolution.
*D.C. United's eight-game winning streak was snapped as it suffered its first loss since March 22, a 2-0 loss against the New York Red Bulls.
*United was unbeaten in its last three matches against the Union with its last loss coming on Aug. 10, 2013, a 2-0 loss at RFK Stadium.
*Markus Halsti started and played 80 minutes in his first appearance for D.C. United.
* Rookie Miguel Aguilar played 65 minutes in his first start for D.C. United.
*Bobby Boswell made his 65th consecutive regular season start. Boswell has 45 consecutive starts since his return to D.C. United in 2014.
