
D.C. United Announces Plans for Academy Tryouts

Washington, D.C. (June 7, 2012) - D.C. United announced today plans for the club's Academy tryouts. Players in the U-17/18 and U-15/16 age groups can sign up online and receive e-mail notifications with further instructions on registration, as well as dates and times for the upcoming tryouts. To sign up, please go to www.dcunited.com/academy .
D.C. United has two Academy teams - U-17/18 and U-15/16 - that participate in the United States Soccer Development Academy (USSDA). Players born in 1994/1995 will be eligible for the U-17/18 team, while those born in 1996/1997 will be eligible for the U-15/16 team.
D.C. United's U-17/18 and U-15/16 teams are currently competing in the USSDA league. Per USSDA rules, the club cannot host tryouts until the completion of the season. Tryout dates will be determined once the season is over, and players who signed up online will be notified via e-mail.
