San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has loaned midfielder Jean-Marc Alexandre to Orlando City SC (USL Pro).
The loan extends through June 18, two days before the start of a daunting stretch for the Earthquakes that includes five games in 14 days. Alexandre will suit up for the Lions in USL Pro play on Saturday, June 9 when Orlando City hosts the Charleston Battery (4:30 p.m. PT).
The Earthquakes acquired Alexandre on Dec. 1, 2011 from Real Salt Lake in exchange for an MLS Supplemental Draft first-round pick (6th overall). Since joining the club, Alexandre has one goal, a game winner against the Portland Timbers on March 27, in four Reserve League appearances. The hulking central midfielder most recently played 90 minutes in each of the club's U.S. Open Cup wins, helping the Earthquakes to their first quarterfinal appearance in the domestic tournament since 2005.
