
D.C. United Announces 2014 Preseason Schedule

Washington, D.C. (January 23, 2013) - D.C. United today announced the club's preseason schedule, as the team prepares for the 2014 Major League Soccer season. United begins its 19th MLS season with its first game at home against the Columbus Crew on Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m. EST.
Players are set to report to RFK Stadium on Saturday, January 25 for physicals and fitness testing. The Black-and-Red will train in Washington, D.C. the following four days before departing to Bradenton, Fla., on Jan. 29. The team's first two games, against Toronto FC on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. EST and the Chicago Fire on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. EST, will be live streamed at dcunited.com/live. United will finish their stint in Florida by again playing the Chicago Fire on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. EST.
The Black-and-Red will return to Washington to train on home turf from Thursday, Feb. 13 to Wednesday, Feb. 19 before departing for Charleston, S.C., to play in the 2014 Carolina Challenge Cup. The club's first game is set to occur on Saturday, Feb. 22 against the Houston Dynamo at 5 p.m. EST followed by matches on Wednesday, Feb. 26 against the Charleston Battery at 7:15 p.m. EST and on Saturday, March 1 against the Seattle Sounders FC at 5 p.m. EST.
United will head back to Washington, D.C. on Sunday, March 2 to train in the District in preparation for its first regular-season match on Saturday, March 8 against the Columbus Crew. Tickets for D.C. United's regular-season home opener can be purchased here.
