D.C. United Announces 2011 Home Opener

Washington, D.C. (December 20, 2010) - D.C. United's 16th season will kick-off on Saturday, March 19, 2011 when the Columbus Crew visit RFK Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET. It will be the first time in club history that United has faced the Crew in the season-opener.

The team's second game of the 2011 campaign comes the following weekend as the Black-and-Red travel north to face the New England Revolution on Saturday, March 26 March 26 at a time to be determined.

The MLS season will begin on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 when Seattle Sounders FC host the LA Galaxy live on ESPN at 9:30 p.m. ET. Additional games and national television broadcasts will be announced at a later date. The entire 2011 MLS regular season will be released by early February.

2011 D.C. United schedule to date:

Saturday, March 19 - D.C. United vs. Columbus Crew, 7:30 p.m. ET

Saturday, March 26 - D.C. United at New England Revolution, TBD
