DANVILLE, Va. - The Danville Braves made it back-to-back wins with a 3-2 extra-innings victory against the Pulaski Mariners Monday night at American Legion Post 325 Field.

After a 2-for-3 performance at the plate in last night's game, leftfielder Phillips Castillo cracked a lead off single. Castillo advanced to second on an errant pickoff throw by D-Braves starter Mauricio Cabrera. With the double play ball out the equation, Cabrera then balked to send Castillo to third.

Cabrera walked a season high five batters in his last outing and issued a free pass to designated hitter Gilmer Lampe on four straight. The M's opened the scoring when shortstop Bryan Brito hit a deep fly ball for the RBI sac fly. After a hitless game last night, Mariners second baseman, Martin Peguero, shortened up his swing and, down in the count, hit a two strike double to drive home Lampe and cap the score, 2-0.

The Braves first cut the lead in half in the fourth and then evened things up in the fifth. Right fielder, Felix Marte, in his first start in four games, singled to lead off the fourth inning. Marte scored after a walk to catcher Troy Snitker and back-to-back groundouts by shortstop Jose Peraza and Hyams. The Braves tied the game at two in the fifth on a Moses homerun, his second solo shot in as many games. Moses, who singled in the first, doubled in the third, and, with his fifth inning homer, finished the night a triple short of the cycle.

Alex Wilson came on in relief of Cabrera in the sixth. Cabrera pitched 5.0 innings and allowed two runs (both earned) on four hits. Wilson faced 11 batters, and, at one point, sat down seven straight. He notched three strikeouts and no walks over three scoreless innings out of the bullpen.

With the game tied 2-2 at the end of regulation, the Braves began their fifth extra-inning game this season and third of this home stand. The Mariners got the go-ahead run on base, via walk, in the top of the tenth. Center fielder Jabari Henry put a ball past the glove of Peraza at short to put men at first and second.

In the eleventh, center fielder Blake Brown drew a walk and advanced to second on a stolen base. The Braves walked-off with a win on Peraza's game-winning single, which pushed Brown home and gave the Braves their second straight win.
