
Cyclones Top Royals in Overtime

For the second straight time on the road the Reading Royals went to overtime, this time losing in Cincinnati 4-3. Terry Marchant picked up the game winner for the Cyclones with just 20-seconds left in the five-minute overtime session. Marchant led all scorers with two goals and an assist.
The Royals came-from-behind to tie the score and eventually send the contest to overtime. Graig Mischler tallied his eighth goal of the season at 9:30 of the third on the power play. Scooter Smith and Jon Zion assisted. The Cyclones outscored Reading in the second period 2-1. Cincinnati got goals from Terry Marchant and Jade Galbraith. Reading's goal came from captain Brad Church. Leon Hayward tallied in the first for Reading while the Cyclones goal in the first period came off the stick of Dean Stork.
Cincinnati converted two for six chances on the power play while the Royals were one of three. Cincinnati outshot the Royals 36-32. Peter Hamerlik stopped 32 shots in the loss for the Royals while Randy Petruk made 29 saves.
