
Cyclones Title Chase Starts Tuesday Vs. Yankees

The Cyclones enetered Friday night with a one-game lead in the Wild Card, needing just a combination of two wins and/or Williamsport losses to clinch a playoff berth. They got just that with a 4-0 victory over the Staten Island Yankees and a 3-2 loss by the CrossCutters at the hands of the State College Spikes.
For the first time in their 11-year history, the Cyclones will be making a third consecutive playoff appearance. It will be their eighth total playoff appearance in franchise history. The team will be seeking their first NYPL Championship since they were crowned Co-Champions in 2001.
Game One of the first round of the playoffs start on Tuesday, September 6 and the Cyclones are assured to play at home against the Staten Island Yankees.
