TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After wrapping up a two-game home series with the Florida Everblades last night, the Cyclones head back up I-75 to face the Toledo Walleye in a Sunday matinee from the Huntington Center. The ¬ËClones are 3-1-0 against Toledo this season, two of those wins coming at the Walleye's home rink.
SCOUTING THE WALLEYE: Nick Vitucci's club finds itself in the basement of the North Division standings with an 8-11-1-1 mark. The Walleye have scored the third-fewest goals in all of the ECHL - putting just 53 pucks in the net this season. Peter Leblanc leads Toledo in scoring with 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists) while Zach Torquato ranks second with 17 points (4 goals, 13 assists). Both of those players each have a pair of points (2 assists each) against the Cyclones this season.
LATE BLOOMERS: The Cyclones have found their best success in the 3rd period of games this season. They have outscored their opponents 15-6 in the last 10 minutes of regulation. They and their opponents have each scored 21 goals in the final stanza.
RACKING UP THE POINTS: Mathieu Aubin has notched a point in six of his last seven games. He had a career-long 9-game point scoring streak earlier this year and has put his name on the scoresheet in 17 of his 22 games played this season.
