CONEY ISLAND, NY - Wilmer Reyes collected two hits but the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, lost 4-1 in a rain-shortened game against the Tri-City ValleyCats Tuesday night in the opener at MCU Park.

BIG MOMENTS

Tri-City broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the fourth scoring on RBI singles from Yeuris Ramirez, E.P. Reese, and Luis Guerrero against Corey Gaconi to take a 4-1 lead.

Down 1-0, Brooklyn's Wilmer Reyes tied the game with a run-scoring single to center field.

Columbia Fireflies rehabber Colin Holderman allowed one run on two hits and two walks over two innings for the Cyclones.

NEWS & NOTES

The game was called after one out was recorded in the top of the sixth inning.

The Cyclones have now suffered consecutive defeats after winning three of five games on their recent road trip.
