The Cutters got back to their winnings ways Friday night by beating Hudson Valley 7-3 at Bowman Field.
SS Brent Lillibridge led off the first and fourth innings with solo home runs to help seal the victory. 3B Euvi Solano had a two-run double in the first inning that put the Cutters ahead for good. DH James Boone went 2 for 3 with a single and a triple. RHP Mark Michael (0-0), on a rehab assignment from Hickory, went four innings giving up five hits and three earned runs. RHP Jake Cuffman (1-0) worked three innings of relief giving up no runs and two hits in picking up the victory.
The rubber game of this three game series is set for Saturday night.
