
Cutters stage a late inning comeback

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Cutters staged a late-inning comeback scoring 4 runs in the 8th to tie the game and 2 more in the 9th to cap a 6-4 win in New Jersey Tuesday night. DH James Boone provided much of the offense going 2-for-5 with 3 RBI 's. His 2-run single in the 8th got the scoring underway for Williamsport and his RBI double in the 9th proved to be the game-winner. C Chris Jones had a 2-run single in the 8th to tie the game.
The win keeps the Cutters 1 ½ games behind Lowell in the wild-card playoff race with 9 games left to play. The Cutters now return to Bowman Field for a 9-game homestand to close out the season.
