
Cutters Collect Fourth Straight Win

The Williamsport Crosscutters picked up their fourth straight win on Wednesday night, as they topped the Mahoning Valley Scrappers 6-2 at Eastwood Field.
The Cutters took a 1-0 lead in the first, as Pete Lavin singled and scored on a two-out single by Maikel Franco. Mahoning Valley knotted it up in the second, as Cody Elliot's one-out RBI single made it 1-1.
Cody Asche's two-out RBI double and Brock Stassi's RBI single in the fourth gave the visitors a 3-1 advantage. The Scrappers answered in the bottom of the inning on a solo home run to left by Todd Hankins to make it 3-2.
The Cutters picked up two more in the sixth courtesy of a sac fly by Stassi and an RBI single by Taylor Black for a 5-2 lead. They added one more in the eighth, as Black knocked a two-out RBI double to left to make it 6-2.
