The Iowa Cubs saw their five-game winning streak come to an end as they fell to the Round Rock Express 7-3 Thursday night at Principal Park in a game shortened to eight innings by rain.
David Kelton had three hits for the Cubs and Ben Grieve drove in two of the three Iowa runs. Micah Hoffpauir drove in the third Iowa run with a seventh inning single.
John Koronka was tagged with the loss for the Cubs.
The Cubs and Express will meet in the finale of their four-game series Friday night at 7:05 p.m. Iowa's Bobby Brownlie will face Astros top pitching prospect Ezequial Astacio.
