(Gesa Stadium - Pasco, WA) - Canadians RF Sean Hurley hit his 1st home run of the season and LHP Travis Bergen struck out eight over his three innings of relief to help Vancouver to a 4-2 victory over Tri-City on Tuesday evening.

Hurley's solo home run opened the scoring in the top of the 2nd inning off of RHP Walker Lockett who went five innings in a no-decision. The Canadians had leads at three different points in the game as Vancouver battled an opening night crowd and a persistent Dust Devils attack. The C's led 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 before adding an insurance run in the top of the 9th inning after CF Earl Burl III doubled off the left field wall and later scored on a base hit from 3B Alex Maldonado to help preserve the victory.

After Canadians starter RHP Clinton Hollon went five innings, leaving in a 2-2 tie, manager John Schneider summoned LHP Travis Bergen from the bullpen and was rewarded with three scoreless innings in which the Kennesaw State prospect struck out eight.

The win brings the Canadians back to .500 on the season at 3-3, and gives them the first winning streak of the summer (two games).

Vancouver sends LHP Evan Smith (0-0, 3.60) to the mound on Wednesday in search of a third straight win.

The Canadians return to Scotiabank Field on Friday, June 26th at 7:05pm as they host the defending Northwest League Champions from Hillsboro. Toronto Blue Jays 1st Round Selection (2015) Jon Harris will get the start on the mound for Vancouver.

Notes: Canadians 3B Alexis Maldonado was promoted to Lansing (Midwest) after Tuesday's game vs. Tri-City.
