(Memorial Stadium - Boise, ID) - A two-run double from Boise 2B Bladimir Restituyo in the bottom of the 7th off Canadians reliever RHP Gage Burland was enough to sink the C's 3-2 on Thursday night out at Memorial Stadium.

Vancouver got six fantastic innings from starter RHP Alex Nolan who allowed just one run on five hits as the Brock University standout handed the ball to the bullpen with the Canadians up 2-1. Those runs came in the top of the 6th inning when RF MC Gregory Contreras hit an RBI single that scored C Philip Clarke (single). Contreras scored on a base hit from SS Tanner Morris.

Up 2-1 heading to the bottom of the 7th inning, Canadians manager Casey Candaele opted to go to his bullpen pulling out RHP Gage Burland who had pitched just once since July 7th and struggled as the native of Otis Orchards, WA hit Boise RF Yorvis Torrealba with a pitch and then walked LF Zach Hall before 2B Bladimir Restituyo smacked a two-run double scoring both runners to put the Hawks up 3-2.

The glass shattered on the Canadians offense over the final three innings as the bats went stone cold with Boise RHP Boby Johnson, LHP Reagan Todd and closer RHP Jacob Wallace all cutting through the Vancouver offense without allowing a hit to secure the victory.

Notes: Canadians 1B Yorman Rodriguez had three hits to bump his season average to .374 (55-for-147)... Vancouver dropped 3-of-4 in Boise and are now currently 3-4 (.429) for this current ten-game road trip that resumes tomorrow in Pasco, WA against the Dust Devils starting at 7:15pm.

Vancouver will send Toronto Blue Jays 1st Rounder RHP Alek Manoah to the mound in the series opener at Tri-City with the game available on Sportsnet 650.
